Regarding the story where the pastor admits “adultery” with a then-16-year-old member of the “church” (“congregation”), the Bible says David said, “You, O Jehovah (God’s name) are ... ready to forgive.”
And at Proverbs 28:13, if you “confess and abandon your (wrongdoing) transgressions, you will be shown mercy.”
And (singleness or) loneliness is to be (try to) “sung out” about it.
