Food-A-Thon

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

This coming Friday and Saturday Combined Community Services will be holding its Food-A-thon 2018.

Over the past year Kosciusko County Farm Bureau has donated, along with help from Maple Leaf Farms and Miller Poultry, over 4,000 pounds of Duck and Chicken to CCS.

It has been our belief for my wife and I that no child should go hungry in a farming community.  We have had this belief and have practiced it with CCS since 2006.  I know many of you have participated as well and I thank you for that. In talking to Steve Possell they are very appreciative of all the support they get from the agriculture community.

A donation of any size is well received and appreciated; so whether you have a farm, a hobby farm, a truck patch,  a road side stand, a big or small garden  consider making a donation to CCS this Friday or Saturday.  A monetary donation allows CCS to be able to purchase many times the amount of food for the dollars spent and goes a lot farther.

Selling your products and delivering a check to them is only a small way we can all help. Giving back to your community not only makes you feel good, but when you hand that check over or mail it in you will receive blessings many times over.

Cordially;

Robert Bishop

President, Kosciusko County Farm Bureau
