Fernande Mary Kolter, 84, of Warsaw, died at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20, 2009, in her residence.
She was born Nov. 5, 1925, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Thomas Ennis and Flavie Prudhomme. On Jan. 27, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., she married Fred G. Kolter, who survives.
Living in Warsaw since 1993, she was a homemaker and a member of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Bridge and Quilting clubs. She was an excellent seamstress, quilter and cook. She was an avid bridge player, devoted to her church and loved her family and her dogs. She had a wonderful sense of humor and found great pleasure in bringing people together.
She was loved and cherished by all who knew her.
Also surviving are three sons: William C. (and spouse Pamela) Kolter, Claypool; Thomas F. (and spouse Nancy) Kolter, Fort Worth, Texas; and James A. (and spouse Linda) Kolter, Sanford, Fla.; a daughter, Susan H. Kolter, Mooseheart, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Miller and Therese Bostnick, both of Sun City, Ariz., and Lucille Shanks, Oconomowoc, Wis.; and a brother, Arthur Ennis, Niles, Ill. She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Ennis, Niles, Ill., and a sister, Rita Ennis, Minneapolis, Minn.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Pastor Jim Mugg officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
