Last November I wrote a letter to the editor regarding the fact that the farmers market name of 35 years had been stolen and applied to the newly created market. I also wrote on the advice of an attorney that it would be by far cheaper and faster not to go to court, but instead reorganize the old market with a new name and applying all of the original rules, regulations and The Constitution from the old to that of the new reorganized one, effectively making the new one just as the original market was of 35 years.
The reorganization is now complete with officers, and the old market location at the fair grounds has been secured (be it noted it is with sincere appreciation of thanks to The Fair Board allowing our case to be heard and subsequent ruling that allowed this to be as it is).
This letter is to notify all past and future vendors of a vendors meeting on March 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of County Extension Office (old church building north of sheriff's office). All Kosciusko County vendors, including all those who sold produce at last year's fair ground market, are encourage to attend this meeting. There are a few by-law changes that need member vendor approval as well as bring vendors up to date on the market reorganization. Any questions, call 574-566-2292.
