Fall Family FunThe Warsaw Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Fall Family Fun Friday evening had hundreds of people turn out for a variety of autumn- and Halloween-related activities at Lucerne Park. In the cabins were crafts, a straw maze and Incredible Bats returned with its assortment of creatures. In the first photo, bat naturalist Daniel Peterson (R), co-founder of Incredible Bats, lets Warsaw FFA member Morgan Smith (L), 17, hold a 2-year-old striped skunk. Peterson also brought with him several fruit bats and a tarantula. Outside of the cabins, the Warsaw Community Public Library offered a storyteller, Ice Creations offered a pumpkin-carving demonstration, the FFA had a petting area and people lined up for a hay ride around Pike Lake. Near the lake there was an opportunity for people to make their own s’mores. In the second photo, Justin Brown (R), Warsaw, roasts a marshmallow with Legend Kilburn, 2.
