Editor, Times-Union: Thank you, Gladys Porter, for confirming what so many of us already knew about Curt Nisly and his extreme views. For several weeks now he has been asked several times by the voters of District 22 and by Mr. Kolbe to debate and share his policies and goals with the district, but he won’t. Each time he refuses or offers no response at all. He is so afraid, so scared to debate the lawyer from Warsaw, that he allows anyone willing to speak up to defend him, and on 10/2/14, responding to my last letter, that is what Gladys did. In her letter, from her own words she said, “Do I hope that we have stronger candidates in the future? Yes.” Well, that explains why he won’t debate, but in what area does Mr. Nisly come up short? Does he have trouble with communication? I assume that he can talk in complete sentences and remain coherent. How is he under pressure? Does he stutter, shiver and shake, drool, sweat profusely or foam at the mouth when speaking in public? We need to know. We need answers to the questions that only Curt Nisly can answer. He, is after all, the one asking us for the job. Curt Nisly is asking us to hire him first, and then he will show us his resume. Please keep in mind that I’m not saying that Mr. Nisly will do anything listed, we simply don’t know because he refused to show us what he is made of. On the other hand, we have Mr. David Kolbe, who is willing to debate any time any place, and will answer all questions. The person wins the election will go to Indianapolis to represent District 22. That person must have the skills to debate and at times negotiate when needed. That person should be David Kolbe, a proven leader. Jennifer Arnold Mentone, via email
