SYRACUSE - Evelyn M. Brown, 53, of Leesburg, died June 4, 2007, in her residence.
She was born Sept. 2, 1953, in Lansing, Mich., to Charles and Mary Weck VanNoller I.
She formerly worked at Kidd & Co., Ligonier, and Heaters, North Webster, and was a former bartender at Bowl Away Lanes, Ligonier. She attended Bible Baptist Church, Ligonier, and was a member of American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, North Webster, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Wolf Lake.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Tammy) Holderread, Cromwell; a son, Timothy Brown, Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren: Christina Brown and Johnathan and Danyul Noyes, all of Fort Wayne; Micheal Miller Jr. and Makenzie and Alexis Holderread, all of Cromwell; Zachary and Chase Nave, both of South Whitley; Abigail Holle-Stanford and Emily Stanford, both of Churubusco; her mother, Mary Reed, Bay City, Mich.; two brothers, Charles II and Johnny VanNoller, both of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; a sister, Hazel Brown, Bay City, Mich.; and her companion, Jerry Holle, Leesburg. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles VanNoller I.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, with Pastor Scott Mann officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Wilmot.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
