SYRACUSE – Elizabeth Vanderfleet, 90, Syracuse, died March 20, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born March 12, 1923, in Jackson, Mich., to Lyle and Maxine Fleming Hyland. On Nov. 19, 1949, she married Joseph A. Vanderfleet, who died in 2005. She was a summer resident since 1957, moving to Syracuse full time from Indianapolis in 1969. Surviving is a daughter, Lee Ann (and spouse Dennis) Paternoster, Syracuse; a sister, Luella Drum, Florida; and two grandchildren. A private burial will be at Syracuse Cemetery. Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
