Elene E. Shively, 92, formerly of Warsaw and Nappanee, passed away March 16, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor, Plymouth. She was born May 19, 1920, in Kosciusko County, to Ellis and Dorthea Culp Hill. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She worked at Playtime Inc. for 22 years and Kimble Glass for 15 years, both in Warsaw. Surviving are a daughter, Noretta (and spouse Bob) Brown, Nappanee; two sons, Dean (and spouse Martha) Shively, Plymouth, and Gary (and spouse Judy) Shively, Bremen; a sister, Maralee (and spouse Jim) Watson, Arizona; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Carolyn Wise, Alice Jean Hill and Corabell Smith; two brothers, Donald Hill and Anthony “Gus” Hill; a grandson, Larry A. Brown; and a great-granddaughter, Starli Brown. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Chaplain Tom Padberg officiating.
