Eldon D. Stutzman, age 83, of Nappanee, died at 12:25 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, June 15, 2025, at his residence.
Eldon was born on Feb. 23, 1942, in Nappanee to Daniel Jr. and Annie Slabaugh Stutzman. On Feb. 14, 1963, Eldon married Lydia Mae Miller in Nappanee. Eldon was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Mae Stutzman, of Nappanee; five children: Linda (Vernon) Schwartz, of Etna Green; Fanny (Steven) Miller, of Milford; Richard (Roseanna) Stutzman, of Etna Green; Chris (Martha) Stutzman, of Milford; and Judy (Lyle) Yoder, of Nappanee; 25 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eli (Kathy) Stutzman, of Bremen; and Robert (Loretta) Stutzman, of Nappanee; seven sisters: Velma Borkholder, of Bremen; Sue Kauffman, of New Paris; Martha Snyder, of Goshen; Laura Stutzman, of Goshen; Ruby Chupp, of Bremen; Rose (Vernon) Miller, of Nappanee; and Treva (Harley Jr.) Bontrager, of Shipshewana. Eldon was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Karen Sue Schwartz; brothers: Floyd, Vernon, Alvin and Edwin Stutman; and sister, Lydia Mae Mast.
Visitation was held after 2 p.m. on Monday, June 16 and all day Tuesday, June 17 at the Lloyd Miller residence, 8409 W. CR 750N, Etna Green. A funeral will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at the Lloyd Miller residence. Bishop Duane Schwartz will officiate and burial will take place in Graber Cemetery, Nappanee.
