Dukes Can Mend Police Rift

My name is John Sullivan and I would like to share why I believe Kyle Dukes would make a great sheriff.

I was an Indiana conservation officer assigned to Kosciusko County and finished my career as the District One commander. Law enforcement has been a way of life since I was 4 years old. My father was a conservation officer and Tipton chief of police, my brother was the Frankfort chief of police, and I currently have a cousin who is the sheriff of Clinton County. As a result of my career and family ties, I believe I have a clear understanding of what kind of leadership the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department needs, and that is Kyle Dukes.

I first met Kyle many years ago when he would frequently stop at our District One DNR headquarters.

I quickly recognized he possessed great people skills, and interdepartmental relations were important to him. I believe he is the only one who can restore the strained relationship between the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Warsaw Police Department.

Kyle's experience and accomplishments are many. To name a few, he was the supervisor of the Noble County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol, has been an Indiana State Police officer for 17 years, was Bremen District Trooper of the Year, holds a bachelor's degree in business management as well as an associate degree in supervision, and is currently the president of the Lakeland Youth Center.

With his law enforcement experience, his vision for our youth, senior citizens and combating the drug epidemic, Kyle is clearly the best choice to lead the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. He's the fresh start we need!
