Donald H. MoffettDonald H. Moffett, 81, of Warsaw, passed away at 2:26 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, in Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
He was born Feb. 22, 1937, in St. Johnsbury, Vt., to Ralph and Pauline Labshire Moffett.
Donald faithfully served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1961 as PFC(T) E-3. He was united in marriage to Eleanor Olson in Springfield, Mass., on Aug. 12, 1961.
He was employed by The Dalton Foundries of Warsaw in quality control with 32 years of service from 1972 to 2004, when he retired.
Donald was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Warsaw.
He was an avid stamp collector.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Moffett of Warsaw; children: Karen Moffett, Karl Moffett and Donna (Andy) Corp, all of Warsaw; a brother, Dave (Joyce) Moffett of Bradenton, Fla.; grandchildren, Zach (Heather) Corp of Larwill and Renae Corp of Warsaw; and great-grandchild Aiden Corp of Larwill.
He was preceded by his parents and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of Donald’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Warsaw. Pastor Richard “Dick” Dahlquist will officiate the service.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the church prior to the service.
Interment will be private in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 49 and VFW Post 1126.
