Dollar General announced its store at 8058 W. Old Road 30, Etna Green, is now open.
To celebrate, the company plans to host a grand-opening event on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 8 a.m., which will include $10 complimentary gift cards to the first 50 adult customers and DG tote bags to the first 100 customers.
“We look forward to serving the Etna Green community by providing customers with increased accessibility to affordable household essentials,” said Zak Brining, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development. “At Dollar General, we believe each store also provides positive economic growth by creating new jobs and career opportunities for employees, generating tax revenue for local municipalities and giving access to Dollar General Literacy Foundation grants. At Dollar General, our mission of serving others is the cornerstone of our culture and foundation on which our business was built, and we are excited to welcome customers to our new location.”
Dollar General plans to create new jobs in the Etna Green community as the store is expected to employ approximately six to 10 people, depending on the individual needs of the store, according to a provided news release. The company provides employees with competitive wages, world-class and award-winning training and development programs and benefits including day-one telemedicine eligibility as well as health insurance coverage options, 401K savings and retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave and adoption assistance to eligible employees, the release states.
