SILVER LAKE - Dixie K. Henderson, 70, of Silver Lake, passed away at 1:30 a.m. Aug. 3, 2010, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Jay County, to Henry N. and Jane Grief Trobridge, who preceded her in death. She married John W. Walter, who preceded her in death. On June 25, 1987, in Waverly, Tenn., she married Robert L. Henderson, who survives.
She was an office employee at Thompson Fire & Safety and at Gardens Of Memory, both in Marion. She was a 1957 graduate of Bryant High School. She was a past member Moose Lodge, Marion, for several years.
Also surviving are a daughter, Dorenda K. (and spouse Curtis) Shackelford, Edgerton, Ohio; a son, Dennis W. (and spouse Pam) Walter, Sandy Hook, Ky.; two stepsons, Jon R. and Kris L. Henderson, both of Wabash; two sisters, Connie S. Weil, Decatur, and Janet L. Roe, Monroe; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Trobridge, and a sister, Nina J. Mock.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, with Pastor Bill Keen officiating. Burial will be in Daughterty Cemetery, Bryant.
Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m Saturday at the funeral home.
