Dianne Marie Lund, of The Villages, Fla., and formerly of Warsaw, passed into glory on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025, at the age of 72 in the care of Cornerstone Hospice House, The Villages, Fla.
She was born on May 7, 1953, to Howard and Evelyn Snively while living in Whittier, Calif. She was the third born of what turned out to be four children, each of them yet surviving her, Daniel Snively (married to Joan Ogden), Michael Snively (married to Beth Witzkey) and Janice Strang (widow of Eddie Strang).
Dianne married Joe Lund on Aug. 4, 1973, in Winona Lake, and they have two daughters, all of them survive her: Lindsey Kacsur (married to Matthew Kacsur) and Ashley Clough (married to Ryan Clough). Lindsey and Matt have three boys (AJ, Ben and Jacob) and Ashley and Ryan have two (Garrett and Beau).
Her formal education included two years of classes at Grace College and then it culminated with an undergraduate degree in elementary education from Taylor University in Upland. From there, she earned a masters degree in Education from Ball State University in Muncie. She taught for 30 years in the Eastbrook School District in the Upland area teaching primarily elementary education but she finished up her last several years serving as the school system’s elementary art teacher.
As a follower of Jesus Christ, she attended several different churches in Upland and then in Fort Wayne and she was active in helping provide services to members of each. Recently Dianne and Joe moved to The Villages in Florida for retirement, enjoying the activities and weather for only a short time before pancreatic cancer was discovered which eventually took her life. She battled for approximately eight or nine months but since it had metastasized, it was an up-hill fight. But now, she is with her Savior and Master, Jesus Christ. Praise the LORD!
Dianne loved people and that quality shone through to all those who met her. As a result, she leaves behind a loving family, and a host of good friends all of whom will miss her dearly. We all celebrate the certainty of the resurrection and look forward to seeing her again soon!
Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30 at Winona Lake Grace Church, 1200 Kings Highway, Winona Lake. Dianne’s life will be celebrated immediately following visitation with a service at 12:30 p.m. at Winona Lake Grace Church and officiated by Pastor’s Kip Cone, Charles Jaggers and Steve Walker. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.
Online condolences may be sent through the funeral home’s website at www.redpathfruthfuneralhome.com.
