NORTH WEBSTER – Diana Jo Brown, 78, of Cromwell, passed away at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse.
She was born on April 2, 1940, in Kimmell, to Everett P. and Lucille M. Beezley Baker. She was a lifetime Noble County area resident and graduated in 1958 from Cromwell High School.
On July 14, 1961, at Broadway Christian Church in Kimmell, she married Danny A. “Dan” Brown, who preceded her on Aug. 28, 2016.
She was a homemaker and retired in 2002 from the United States Postal Service in Cromwell after 20 years, where she served as a rural carrier, clerk and finally as the temporary postmaster.
She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster and Wawasee Camp of the Gideons Auxiliary in Syracuse.
She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Brown of Kimmell; son, Dana (Amy) Brown of Cromwell; two grandchildren; and a sister, Judith (Ronald) Wentworth of Kimmell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating. Burial will follow at the Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell.
