Dennis Richard Nilsen, 62, of 600 N. Colfax, Apt. 205, Warsaw, died at 6:47 p.m. April 23, 2011, in Mason Health & Rehab. He was born March 7, 1949, in Detroit, Mich., to Jeanne Evelyn Colson Nilsen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Patrick James Cunningham. He was a member of Bethany Fellowship of Warsaw, and had worked for the Detroit Fire Department and EMS. He also served with the U.S. Coast Guard. Surviving are a brother, Bob (and spouse Shirley) Nilsen, Dominican Republic. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. May 7 at Bethany Fellowship, Warsaw, with Ben Scripture officiating. A private graveside service will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
