One of the pastors in my church said that D.L. Moody claimed he had citizenship in heaven but voted in Cooke County. I said he probably still does. I wonder if he voted for Republicans or Democrats. In Ohio there are people on the voters rolls that would have to be over 160 years old. They were probably relieved that they were too old to serve in the Spanish American War. Years ago I read that there were some voting districts in Philadelphia where 105 percent of the voters voted some years. When Democrats claim that those who want to purge the voter rolls of dead and non-residents, conservatives want to disenfranchise voters. In 2016 the Democrats did more to try and intrude on the election process than the Russians did.
You would think that after the Democrats failed to steal the 2000 presidential election from Bush they would learn their lesson. The voting problems in two counties in Florida show that they still want to steal elections. Democrats are acting almost like they did a century ago when they prevented certain votes from being counted. Those votes were black votes for Republicans. They thankfully don't hang people for voting "wrong." But the press uses the dog whistle of racism and sexism in an attempt to train Republicans to be silent.
During the next two years, Democrats in Congress will try to destroy the president and his people and reverse the good things that have happened. They still don't want to admit millions of voters didn't want to elect Hillary. The investigations Republicans have trying to find out the truth about her and those that tried to destroy Trump are probably going to be stopped and the investigations into what Trump and his people did before he was president will go forward along with impeachment. If they find nothing worthy of impeachment and get nothing significant done or if they make things worst, they will be thrown out in 2020.
My advise to Congress now is for the Republicans to vote on the Trump agenda while they still control Congress. Fund the wall. Make the tax cuts permanent. Seize the documents needed to complete their investigations of Hillary and those that did criminal acts. Cut spending to try and balance the budget within a few years. If there was nearly half a trillion dollars in waste 40 years ago, imagine how much waste there is now.
Pelosi claimed she wanted to do what was best for the American people. Since she didn't do that by resigning, the next best thing is to do what Trump wants if it is best for Americans. If she did that, the ones who wanted her to throw Trump out of office will throw her out. The next two years will be interesting.
