Dear Meth: I want to write you with my thoughts and let you know my view of the relationship we’ve had for the past 13 years.
When I met you I fell in love with you at first sight. I told myself you would just be a fling. I would use you to lose some weight. With that you have helped me indeed. I hoped you would motivate me for a little while, but you ended up motivating me for a long time.
You motivated me to leave my family and walk away from my kids. You motivated me to practice evil things. Before long I devoted everything and all my time to you. I gave up all my dreams and all the good things life had in store for me. You caused me to engage in things that had consequences I now have to live with for the rest of my life. I am 29 years old and I’ve wasted 13 of those years with you. I even brought people to you.
But do I have news for you. Now I can see that you do nothing but steal, kill and destroy life just like the one you came from. I have have found Someone more powerful than you. You have no more control over me. You are just a memory I will keep for one reason only -- to destroy you. I will seek to let the community know your evil tricks and how you attack men and women, young and old, and now our children as well.
You are a disgrace to the lives of God’s people. You belong in the bottomless pit you came from. I will continue to pray you will one day be destroyed. So, farewell, meth. You no longer belong as a part of my life. I will find a way to stop you.
