JAY, Fla. – Daniel Lee Shroyer, 81, passed away Aug. 24, 2015. He was born May 27, 1934, in Warsaw, to Daniel Robert “Bob” and Mildred Sophia Van Curen Shroyer. In 1952, he married the love of his life, Betty Jane Thorne, who preceded him in death. He was a long time resident of the Chapman Lake area in Kosciusko county and a 1952 graduate of Leesburg High School. After a fruitful career which took them across the country, they retired to Jay, Fla., in 1996. Survivors are: two sisters, Susie (and spouse Nelson) Sutton and Julia (and spouse Kart) Goon; two brothers, William (and spouse Marilyn) Shroyer and Lloyd (and spouse Becky) Shroyer, four children, Elizabeth Ann (and spouse Dean) Dellinger, Lewis Eugene, David Lee (and spouse Julia) Shroyer and John Robert (and spouse Lori) Shroyer, and six grandchildren, Daniel Anthony Shroyer, Robert Eugene Dellinger, Amy Virginia Louise Shroyer, Johnny Shaw, and Allison and Katie Shaw. Services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Jay United Methodist Church, Jay, Fla. A memorial service will be held this fall at the Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, 6276 N.
