A Cromwell man was arrested Thursday for dealing meth after an undercover bust. Abel Adrian Villegas, 27, of 9838 E.?King Arthurs Trail, Cromwell, was charged with one count of dealing methamphetamine, a level 4 felony, and one count of possession of methamphetamine, a level 5 felony. On Aug. 11, Warsaw police met with a confidential informant who had arranged to purchase 3.5 grams of meth in exchange for $250, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office. The officers placed an audio recording wire on the informant and then followed the informant to meet with Villegas.?During the meeting, officers could hear the informant discussing handing over the money. the affidavit states. The informant provided officers a plastic zip top bag that contained a white crystal substance. Officers performed a field test on the substance and it tested positive for methamphetamine, the release states. Villegas was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:38 p.m. Thursday.?Bond was set at $15,250.
