MILLERSBURG – A Cromwell man died after his pickup drove into a creek Monday morning, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department. David Teel, 54, Cromwell, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was driving north on CR 43 when he failed to negotiate a curve, information from the sheriff’s department states. His pickup went off the road through some trees, down over a creek, collided with a tree and eventually rested on its left side in the creek, according to the information. The 911 call came in about 9:55 a.m., but officials believe the truck may been laying in the water overnight, The Elkhart Truth reported.
