Meth Found On Man After Arrest For DWS

A man was charged May 3  after police say they found 11 grams of meth in his pants while he was being booked into jail.

Sage Allen Powell, 29, of 1001 N. Harrison St., Syracuse, is facing charges of possession  of methamphetamine and driving while suspended.

A Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy pulled over a car driven by Powell during a routine traffic stop. While checking Powell’s driver’s license, the deputy discovered Powell had a suspended license, according to court documents The officer arrested Powell and took him to the Kosciusko County Jail.

While booking Powell, police found 11 grams of meth stuffed in the crotch area of his pants.

Powell is currently held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $50,250 bond.



Police Investigate Possible Rape


A 21-year-old woman reported a rape on Tippecanoe Drive early Tuesday morning, according to Warsaw Police Department Capt. Kip Shuter.

The woman was with a man and a friend at a bar and then they went home. The friend left and the woman passed out on the couch. Around 3:30 a.m., the woman woke up and saw the man in front of her naked and her bra had been removed, Shuter said.

The woman passed out again. She woke up again at 5 a.m. and found her pants and underwear had been removed.

The woman went to Parkview Hospital to get examined.

The case is still under investigation and police have not released a description of the suspect.



Man Arrested For Confining Girlfriend

A Warsaw man was arrested after police allege he held his girlfriend at knife point.

Jacob Paul Lindsey, 39, of 3119 S. Lake St., #D, was booked into Kosciusko County Jail Tuesday morning.

Police say Lindsey was arguing with his girlfriend, “snapped” and grabbed a knife. Lindsey threatened to kill the girl, his ex-wife and himself, according to Warsaw Police Department Capt. Kip Shuter.

Lindsey allegedly prevented the woman from leaving for three hours. The girl was able to convince Lindsey to give up the knife, but he grabbed a box cutter and kept it by his side. When Lindsey fell asleep, the woman escaped to a nearby gas station and called police.

Lindsey is being held on a $10,250 bond.
