ARGOS – Corriene May Mechling,   82, of 108 S. Ecker Ave., Bourbon, died at 8:50 a.m. May 28, 2013, in her daughter’s residence. She was in declining health for several months.
She was born Nov. 17, 1930, in Argos, to Frank and Ocie Ellis  Hardesty. In 1948 she married Norman Ault. In 1955 she married Thomas T. Ludwig. In 1973, she married Darold R. Mechling. She was preceded in death by all three husbands.
A lifetime Marshall County resident, she was a homemaker and worked for several local restaurants as a cook and waitress. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church, Bourbon.
Surviving are three daughters, Roberta M. Tarlton and Robbin R. (and spouse Dennis) Crieghbaum, all of Bourbon, and Cora A. (and spouse Charles) Jones, Warsaw; three sons: Thomas T. Ludwig Jr., Columbus;  David R. (and spouse LaVona) Mechling, LaFontaine; and Patrick L. Mechling, Alabama; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ilene Height, Chapman Lake; and a half brother, Keith Hardesty. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sons,  Daniel and John H. Ault; two granddaughters – Christina Ault and Shawn Haynes; two grandsons – Lance and Kenny Haynes; a sister, Madeliene Senff; a brother, Frank Hardesty; five half sisters: Audrey Stephenson, Kathy Hylton, Karen Hileman, Evelyn Byers and Zepha Swander; and a half brother, Daniel Hardesty.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at United Pentecostal Church, Bourbon, officiated by the Rev. Mark Cottrill of the church. Burial will be in Culver Masonic Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, is in charge of arrangements.
