Claudia Marie Wrobel of Winona Lake passed away at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw at the age of 71.
She was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Warsaw, to Alexander Landa and Winifred “Winnie” Marie King Landa. She was married in October 1981 to Douglas William Wrobel, who survives.
Claudia was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where she was a 1965 graduate of Warsaw High School. After graduation she attended beauty college in Fort Wayne.
For a number of years she worked at Crownover Jewelry in Warsaw. She was also a great animal lover.
Claudia was a very friendly person, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 36 years, Douglas "Doug" Wrobel, Winona Lake; four sons: David Creighton, Atlanta, Ga.; Brandon (wife Rachelle) Creighton, Warsaw; Kevin (wife Michelle) Wrobel, Lithia, Fla.; and Erich Wrobel, Colorado; and two daughters, Tara Creighton, Winona Lake, and Kerri (husband Chris) Wilson, Winona Lake. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren: Shelly, Brady and Landon Creighton; Tristan, Preston and Reagan Wilson; and Jonathan and Thomas Wrobel.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Her funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Jeff Pfeifer.
Burial will follow with a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
