Clara Adelia Gorman, Nappanee, went home to be with the Lord at 12:19 a.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018, in Mentone, at the age of 64.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1953, in Pike County, Ohio, to William Davis and Mary Mustard Davis. She was married to Walter Fred Gorman, who died on March 26, 2006.

Clara retired in 2002 from R.R. Donnelley & Sons, Warsaw, where she worked as a hoist driver. She loved to shop, especially flea markets.

Clara enjoyed home remodeling and gardening. Most of all she loved her family, and will be missed by all.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Larry (wife Virginia) Davis, Nappanee; four daughters: Karen (husband Scott) Wallis, Mentone; Mary Gregory, Van Wert; Rebbecca “Becky” (husband John) Sellers, Bourbon; and Rachel (husband David) Hite, Warsaw; and her significant other, Joe White, Nappanee. She also leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, five great-granddogs, one grandbird, two great-grandcats; a brother, William “Tom” Davis, Warsaw; a sister, Mary Purdy, Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Fred Gorman; grandson, Justin Waddle; and her brother, Wes Davis.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, and officiated by Michael Miller.

Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
