At a meeting between Indiana legislators and Kosciusko County residents to discuss bills currently being addressed by the House and Senate:
(Sen. Ryan) "Mishler also said the governor is favoring a cigarette tax increase, and said if there was a 50-cent tax increase on cigarettes that would generate $207 million." (For their agenda).
"We are trying to cut back on the number of smokers in Indiana," Mishler said.
This confirms that it's all about money and control.
It angers me that Mishler says, "We are trying to cut back on the number of smokers in Indiana." I ask, who died and made them God?
I believe they are on a mission to make smoking cigarettes illegal, and until that happens getting as much tax money from it as possible. When they have accomplished that mission, what will be their next one? Maybe something you care about. Do we really need more taxes and more restrictions?
