 Chris L. Carter, 51, Warsaw, died at 3:12 a.m. Feb. 27, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born May 29, 1963, in Warsaw, to Harry T. and Rosalie A. Snyder Carter. She was a lifetime Warsaw resident and a homemaker. She attended God’s Highway to Heaven Church and Word of Truth Ministries. She enjoyed playing the guitar, flower gardening and music from the ’60s and ’70s, especially The Eagles. She was an animal lover who cared for any animal that came to her door. As Chris was the only girl in the family, there was a very special bond with her mother. She enjoyed shopping with her daughters and had a special relationship with her son, Matt. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends in person and on Facebook. She selflessly and genuinely cared for others, including taking them in if they needed a place to stay. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed a special bond with her granddaughter, Paige. Surviving are her mother, Rosalie “Rose” Carter, Warsaw; two daughters, Lacie Haag and Bethany (and spouse Cristofer) Smiley, both of Warsaw; a son, Matthew Haag, Warsaw; a granddaughter, Paige Haag; three brothers, Timothy “Tim,” Richard “Ric” and Brian Carter, all of Warsaw. She was preceeded in death by a son, Brandon Haag, who died May 6, 1987 and her father, Harry T. Carter, who died Aug. 28, 2010. Services will be at noon Monday at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 E. Sheridan St., Warsaw. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be made to the funeral home.
