NORTH WEBSTER – Chester H. “Chet” Bond, 85, of North Webster, died at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 12, 2013, at his residence. He was born Feb. 16, 1928, in Leicester, Mass., to Chester A. and May H. Cummings Bond. On Sept. 23, 1977, in Coldwater, Mich., he married Charolette J. Lambert Sieglinger, who survives. He attended Webster (Mass.) Public Schools, and moved to Kosciusko County in 1964. He was owner/operator of Bond Excavating, North Webster, since 1974. He was formerly employed as a truck driver, transporting mobile homes in the 1960s and ’70s, and worked for Indiana Department of Natural Resources for 10 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was raised in the Lutheran Church. Also surviving are five daughters: Janice Pauley, Alton, N.H.; Kathy, Linda, Susan and Cindy; three sons: Dennis Bond, Gilford, N.H., and Kenny and Wayne Bond; three stepdaughers: Lonie Bloom, North Webster, Pam and Denise; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, two sisters and a brother. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at North Webster United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gary Kolbe officiating.
