LIGONIER – Cheryl J. Cox, 51, of Goshen, died at 1:16 p.m. March 2, 2012, in IU Health Goshen Hospital, and will forever be with her mom and dad.
She was born April 20, 1960, in Charleston, W.Va., to Arley “Bud” and Dulcie Griner Cox.
She worked for Commodore Homes, Syracuse, for several years and was a member of Moose Lodge, Goshen. She enjoyed being outdoors and feeding birds. She will always be remembered for her enduring beauty, love of the sun, and beyond all, the love she showed for others.
She is survived by three children: Penny (and spouse Clay) Moore, Albion; Jenifer Erwin, Syracuse; and Erik James Rodriguez, Goshen; five grandchildren, Audrianna, Austin, Abigail, Amanada and Ashlyn, all at home; four siblings: Joan Routsong, McAllen, Texas; Steve Cox, Albion; Kathy (and spouse Don) Irwin, Etna; and Guy Cox, Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Yates.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, 10419 N. Turkey Creek Road, Syracuse, with Pastor Harlan Steffen officiating.
A cremation committal will be at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center, Ligonier, with a private burial to take place at Syracuse Cemetery. ***** Memorials may be made to Wawasee Lakeside Chapel.
