Charlotte L. Oaks, 49, of 3191 W. Myrtle Glenn Road, Silver Lake, died June 22, 2009, in Goshen General Hospital.

She was born Aug. 3, 1959, in Warsaw, to Nero and Minerva Robinson Wadkins. On Aug. 4, 1976, she married David Oaks, who survives.

A lifetime Kosciusko County resident, she worked in quality control at Dexter Axle Co., North Manchester, and was a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, Claypool.

Also surviving are a son, David R. Oaks, Silver Lake; two daughters, Joyce R. Prater, Alabama, and Christie L. Oaks, Silver Lake; seven grandchildren, five brothers: Richmond, Bill, Lon and Loyd Wadkins, all of Silver Lake, and Johnny Wadkins, Talma; and a sister, Joyce Hoskins, Akron. She was preceded in death by her parents and a half sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 106 N. Main St., Claypool, with Pastor Ralph Dotson officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Claypool.

Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
