Editor, Times-Union:
Charlie Kirk was one of the latest truth tellers that became a victim of hate. Jesus Christ told the truth and they killed him, too. They both told people the truth they didn't want to hear. Just because you want to believe lies doesn't make the lies true. People in the media and those that write letters in newspapers hated Charlie and are glad he isn't around to tell them they are wrong and prove it.
Donald Trump supported Charlie and Charlie supported him. Charlie wasn't a fascist because fascists believe the government should control the lives of the people and are often angry. Charlie wasn't an angry man. He used logic when he confronted people and wasn't afraid to go where he knew people hated him. That was what Jesus did. Too bad Charlie didn't rise from the dead three days after a hater killed him.
People like to say Trump is a dictator. Dictators shut down those that oppose them and often throw them behind bars. The fact that his opponents are still able to publish articles that call him a dictator proves he isn't a dictator. Dictators like to overtax people, overspend and crush the little guy. Trump wants to lower taxes, get rid of wasteful spending, and appeals to the little guy. Doesn't sound like a dictator. His confidence makes him sound arrogant and has gotten him in trouble often. So he hasn't kept all his promises. Big deal. Most presidents can't keep all their promises. What annoys me is when people accuse Trump of things and never prove it. Yet they think the accusations are true because they want them to be true.
Obama and Biden have gotten people used to "popular" fascism. A popular fascist uses the power of the government to attack those that they think are enemies of society. They also often violate the Constitution and overspend money because people want them to overspend despite the fact that their children will have to pay the taxes in the future. Charlie opposed popular fascists and their ungodly beliefs like the belief that trans women are women when they are males. He also opposed the extermination of unborn babies and the indoctrination of children that is falsely called education. He also had a deep faith in God and wanted to serve Him well. He died for his faith and for telling the truth. I'm sure God told him in Heaven, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant."
