Charles E. Zimmerman, 92, Warsaw, passed away at 10:40 p.m. June 23, 2015, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. He was born Sept. 17, 1922, in Warsaw, to Wallace and Laura Bell Anglin Zimmerman. On Jan. 29, 1950, in Warsaw, he married Catherine Schlemmer, who preceded him in death Aug. 6, 1993. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, he was a graduate of Leesburg High School and was a lifelong farmer. He was devoted to his family all of the days of his life. He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa. He loved the outdoors where he spent most of his time with the farm. Surviving are: his son, Charles G. (and spouse Barb) Zimmerman, North Carolina; two daughters, Nancy A. (and spouse Rick) McHenry, Leesburg; and Julia M. (and spouse Herb) Baldwin, Etna Green; four grandchildren: Melissa (and spouse Travis) Gunther, Ladera Ranch, Calif.; Matthew (and spouse Christine) McHenry and Georgia Baldwin, all of Warsaw; Rebekah Baldwin, Etna Green; and two great grandchildren, Kaspar Gunther, Ladera Ranch, Calif., and Violet McHenry, Warsaw. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Helen M. Sellers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Robert Jarboe of Kosciusko Homecare and Hospice officiating. Burial is in Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg.
