NORTH MANCHESTER – Charles T. Miller, 82, North Manchester, died at 6:21 p.m. Jan. 3, 2014, in Wabash County Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1931, in North Manchester, to Jesse T. Miller and Ruby I. Fanning, who preceded him in death. On Oct. 12, 1951, he married Ruth G. Gearhart, who survives.
He began working at the former Peabody Seating Co., North Manchester, and later became a salesman for Farm Bureau, State Farm and Prudential Life Insurance companies. He retired after 25 years with R.R Donnelley & Sons Co., Warsaw. After retirement he worked at The Paper, Wabash County.  He was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. He loved his family and was an avid sports fan, particularly NASCAR and Jeff Gordon, Cincinnati Reds baseball and I.U. basketball. He was a member of First Brethren Church, North Manchester.
Surviving are two sons, Todd D. Miller and Chad A. Robin Miller, both of North Manchester; two daughters, Cathy S. Shepherd, North Manchester, and Angela K. Mannix, Angola; a sister, Colleen Summers, North Manchester; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a cousin, Jack Miller, North Manchester. He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson and a son-in-law, Jay Shepherd.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, 1401 Ind. 114 W., North Manchester, IN., with Pastor Kurt Stout officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester.
