NORTH WEBSTER – Charles Robert "Bob" Dye, 70 of Naples, Fla., formerly of Leesburg, passed away at 4:56 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019, at Goshen Hospital.
He was born on Sept. 16, 1948, in Warsaw, to Charles L “Chuck” and Dorothy I. Watkins Dye.
He graduated in 1966 from Leesburg High School and International Business College in Fort Wayne, and was a United States Army veteran.
He lived in Leesburg until he moved to Florida 30 years ago and was married to Cheryl Huffman Landis, who survives.
He was an insurance agent and real estate broker for many years. He formerly was employed at C. Dye Insurance Agency in Leesburg and at a sign company in Florida.
He formerly attended the North Webster Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Dye of Naples; two sons, Chris and Mike Landis, both of Naples; two grandchildren; his mother, Dorothy Dye of Leesburg; two sisters, Susan (Rick) Stookey of Leesburg and Nancy Miner (Randy Sindelar) of Warsaw; a brother, John (Linda) Dye of Nappanee; and a foster brother, Danny Tat of Leesburg.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind. 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 4:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Judy officiating.
