FORT WAYNE - Cecil Hall, 79, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Warsaw, died March 20, 2009, in Fort Wayne.
He was born in Orkney, Ky., to Silas and Stella Hall. His wife, Marty Hall, survives in Fort Wayne.
He worked at Sun Metal for 16 years and John Wong's Chinese Restaurant, both in Warsaw, and Hall's Restaurant, Fort Wayne. He was a member of Christ Church, Georgetown, and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Also surviving are four children: Billy Dean Hall and Jackie Hall, both of Dayton, Ohio; Jimmy Hall, Seymour; and Sheila Swope, North Webster; eight stepchildren: Connie Miller, Claypool; Jessie Aker, Kissimmee, Fla.; Rocky Holmes, Indianapolis; Jana Garry, Greenwood; John Holmes, Warsaw; Roberta Dobbs, Fort Wayne; Teresa Hall, Goshen; and Billy Jack Burg, Hole in the Wall, Tenn.; many grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Doffie Hall, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christ Church at Georgetown with the Revs. Chris Steele and Dave Altman officiating.
Calling is from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, and two hours prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
