Carolyn R. Sowers, 59, South Whitley, passed away at 5:08 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30, 2018, in Parkview Whitley Hospital, Columbia City.
She was born May 9, 1959, in Columbia City, to Gaylord and Marilyn Scoby Sowers.
She was employed by Whitko Community Schools as a custodian.
Survivors include a daughter, Elaine Lynn Hunt, Fort Wayne; a brother, Carl (spouse Laura) Sowers, Warsaw; her lifetime companion, J.E. Hunt, South Whitley; her grandchild, Garret Arthur, Warsaw; and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in South Whitley Cemetery, with Don Plank officiating.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements.
