NORTH MANCHESTER - Carmen Laurella Stambaugh, 85, of North Manchester, died at 2:10 a.m. Aug. 13, 2010, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
She was born April 15, 1925, in Lake O'Dessa, Mich., to Ora and Mary Boocher Fry. On Nov. 5, 1944, she married Arlin Stambaugh, who died in 1957. She was a member of Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester.
She was a bookkeeper for the small blacksmith and welding shop owned by her husband and his dad, and for United Technologies Corp., retiring to help care for her mother.
Surviving are two sons, Dale (and spouse Vivian) Stambaugh, Silver Lake, and Harold (and spouse Sharon) Stambaugh, North Manchester; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Sunday at Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Bremen Cemetery, North Manchester.
