California Should Secede

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

California is once again demonstrating what utter flakes they are. They cut off the water supply to some farmers because it was endangering some insignificant tiny little  fish and consequently put hundreds of people out of a job. This is another example of how deluded they are.

Now they are defying our government by refusing to give up their status of sanctuary states and cities, and informing the government that they cannot refuse to give them millions of dollars every year. Hopefully, they will secede from the U.S., as they have threatened. It can’t be too soon and we will be rid of them, or if a huge earthquake washes them all out to sea.

I lived in California for several years and found Mexican-Americans to be quite pleasant and humble people who had businesses such as bakeries, lawn services, etc., as well as lawyers, doctors, police officers and growers of produce which could be purchased at very reasonable prices at outdoor markets or on street corners. They too feel that illegals should follow the law to become legal and learn to speak English. It is not racist or prejudice on the part of those trying to enforce the law — it is simply a matter of precautionary measures to assure safety for all Americans, including Mexican-Americans, and together, we will try to make America great again.
