Gospel singers Bryan and Yvonne Hutson will perform at 1 p.m. Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 832 E. Center St., Warsaw.
Bryan and Yvonne Hutson began their music-based ministry in late 2016, according to provided information. Bryan is a native of southeastern Indiana and Yvonne is from southern Virginia and West Virginia; they now reside in the Cincinnati, Ohio, area.
Bryan has served full time in music ministry for over 30 years. He served as a worship minister and traveled internationally as the lead vocalist for some of Christian music’s notable vocal groups. He has performed at The Ark Encounter, “The Gaither Homecoming Series,” The Grand Ole Opry, Trinity Broadcasting Network and Graceland. He is a member of The Christian Music Hall of Fame and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, both with group Kingsmen, and he was inducted into the Southeastern Indiana Musicians Hall of Fame in 2023.
Bryan and Yvonne were featured musical artists at The Creation Museum and the Singing at Sea gospel cruise. They were nominated in the top 10 for Favorite Duo by the readers of The Singing News Magazine in 2024 and 2025.
Pastor Andrea Kennedy said the Hutsons reached out to Trinity United Methodist Church because they were doing a worship service near Warsaw on Sunday and they were looking for somewhere to perform to fill out the weekend, so they reached out to area churches. Kennedy said she responded to them and invited them to perform at Trinity.
“I used to be part of a traveling gospel trio. I know what their life is like. I remember that. And so I wanted to honor that for this couple that is out being road warriors and trying to make a living, serving the Lord singing and ministering to people,” Kennedy said.
She said the Hutsons will perform a gospel concert, which will be between 60 and 90 minutes. The concert is free, but a love offering will be taken “to bless their ministry.” The Hutsons will also have a product table in Trinity’s fellowship space.
She said she hopes the concert with the Hutsons will open some doors to reinviting the community to Trinity.
“I mean it’s been five years since Covid and everybody kind of shut down and went into hiding, and so we’re kind of going, ‘OK, we’ve done some reimagining and we’re going to start doing some things.’ And this is step one,” she said.
