I am writing this letter to tell others, especially women of all ages, to always do self breast exams or a mammogram. It may just save your life in the end.
See, my mother found a lump back in 2002, but waited almost two years before she went to the doctor. It was cancer, and by then it grew very large so she had to have a mastectomy in January 2005. Then she went though chemotherapy for months, and they thought it was all gone, but it came back with a vengeance in May of last year. It was in her bones and she suffered really bad and she was gone on Nov. 1, 2007.
She was the best mother we had, and a great wife to our dad. So please don't wait if you find anything wrong. Get to a doctor. It might just save you from a lot of problems. We might have not had to lose our mother so quickly.
