Billie G. McGuire, 88, of Winona Lake, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:54 a.m. Sept 24, 2011, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, with her family by her side.
She was born June 20, 1923, in Floyd County, Ky., to Joseph and Cora Vanhoose Sammons. On Feb. 24, 1940, in Floyd County, she married Burnis McGuire, who died in 1966.
Living most of her life in Kosciusko County, she was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Deloris Jean McGuire and Patricia Ann McGuire, all of Winona Lake; three sons: Norman (and spouse Phyllis) McGuire, Herman McGuire and Dave (and spouse Holly) McGuire, all of Warsaw; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Chad Burkhart officiating.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
