Every time I think about the fiasco with Military Night at a stupid football game, I think about the Vietnam conflict, when over 50,000 young men came home in a box. We put the American flag on everything: shopping bags, door mats, hats, T-shirts, notebooks and even underwear. Nothing is sacred anymore. Just to make a buck.
In November, we will celebrate Veterans Day. For me, Veterans Day is an inspiring day. Sometimes I become sad knowing that nonveterans don’t understand the ultimate sacrifice our young men made.
