A man is critical condition after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, according to a news release from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department.
Mark Whitaker, 34, Warsaw, was transported to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne late Friday night. He was still in listed in critical condition today.
The time of day and visibility of the bicyclist are considered to be a factors in the crash, the release states.
At about 10:52 p.m. Friday, Whitaker was riding his bike west on Old 30 near Riverwood Ranch Road when he was struck by a 2008 Mercury.
The driver of the Mercury, Joshua Hurd, 42, Warsaw, was not injured in the crash.
