WAKARUSA – Bernhard E. “Ben” Strohbehn, 89, Nappanee, died Jan. 8, 2015. He was born Feb. 5, 1925, in New Plymouth, Idaho, to Ed and Josie Strohbehn. In 1943 he married Dorothy Knight, who preceded him in death in 1946. In 1951 in Dodgeville, Wis., he married Lorraine Evans. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a navigator on a B-29 and served in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Bible Baptist Church, Wakarusa, with Pastors David Harper and Charles R. Phelps officiating. Burial will be South Union Cemetery, Nappanee, with military graveside services by Nappanee American Legion. Calling is from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
