Bennett Lloyd “Benny” Harrison, 50, Fort Wayne, formerly of Burket, passed away at 8:08 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

He was born Nov. 20, 1967, in Washington, D.C., to James Gilbert “Gil” and Odetta K. Gault Harrison.

He grew up in Burket/Warsaw area, graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School and lived most of his life in the Fort Wayne area.

He was married on June 4, 2004, to Kimberly “Kim” Fothergill, who survives.

He was a truck driver for USF Holland, Fort Wayne, for several years, and an assistant plumber with his father when he was younger.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Harrison; three stepdaughters: Brandi Riley, Fort Wayne; Holly Kline, Monroeville; and Jessica Carter, Fort Wayne; his father, Gil (Janet) Harrison, Burket;  mother, Odetta Gass, Markle; stepsister, Kathy (Kevin) Smith, Silver Lake; and stepbrother, Brandon (Rhonda) Prater, Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Lena Dean, and stepfather, Jim Gass.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at Warsaw Family Worship Center, 1250 Husky Trail, Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Whitaker officiating.

Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
