I am a faithful observer of the Times-Union online on a daily basis.
I grew up in Kosciusko County and graduated from WCHS in 1999. Since then I have graduated from Anderson University with my teaching degree and now live in Michigan with my wife and kids.I enjoy reading the opinion section.
Everyone seems to have an opinion or I like to say complaint. See, I live in the most economically depressed county in Michigan. We have an unemployment rate over 12 percent When I read the newspaper opinions all I hear is complaining. See, you live in the most wonderful county in Indiana and what I consider to be one of the best towns in America.
I love where I live but I love where I grew up. I am proud to say I am from Warsaw. Everyone complains about gas prices well its 40 to 50 cents more a gallon up here than what you pay in Warsaw. Just ask my parents.
We have very few restaraunts. Warsaw has a plethora of wonderful places to eat. You have a deer problem. We wish we had that problem during hunting season. It's 6 degrees there. Well sorry to say I woke up to 31 below yesterday.
Our kids are poor and have limited options. Students at Warsaw have it made in the shade with options and wonderful schools. I love where I live because I am making a difference. I love the cold, I don't complain about gas, the few pizza shops we have are great and we put peoples' names in the newspaper when they get arrested as well. Its not just in Warsaw.
So the next time everyone wants to complain and cry to the newspaper about something or how bad you have it, just think you could be somewhere else and it might not be as nice. I could go on about how wonderful Warsaw and Kosciusko County are. Home is near and dear to my heart. Be thankful for what you have! Stop complaining and turn it into something productive.
