Barbara J. Walker, 83, Larwill, passed away at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, in her residence.
She was born Jan. 4, 1935, to Napoleon and Bernice Weaver Tremblay in Detroit, Mich.
Barbara was united in marriage on Aug. 12, 1979, to Darrell Walker in Jackson, Mich.
She graduated from All Saints Catholic Church and School, Detroit.
She was a bookkeeper and secretary for Symm Duck Farm and Kelly Services as an office personnel replacement. She retired in 1998.
She was a member of the choir at Troy (Mich.) and Pierceton Presbyterian Church, and a deacon at Pierceton Presbyterian Church. She sang in many church cantatas.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Darrell Walker, Larwill; her children: Maria Belcher, Howell, Mich.; Clark Trombley, Columbia City; Cynthia Derby, Larwill; Michael Trombley, Fort Worth, Texas; Lori Trombley, Ypsilanti, Mich.; and Logan Trombley, Warsaw; her siblings, Winnifred Stephens, Mancelona, Mich.; Carol Allred, Lincolnton, N.C.; and Delores Tremblay, Wilfred Tremblay and Deborah Strine, all of Mancelona; 18 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
She always had a fun-loving personality. She loved a good meal, a good game of cards and a good laugh, even if it was at her own expense! She was a good friend, a caring mother and a devoted wife.
A private celebration of Barbara’s life with family and friends will take place at a later date. Pastor Chris Thereau will officiate the celebration of life.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with the arrangements.
