Editor, Times-Union: Although Mitt Romney wasn’t in operational control of Bain Capital at the time jobs were shut down and outsourced to China, the chances are decisions were being made in advance while he was in operational control. Decisions to close down a major retailer like KayBee Toys don’t happen overnight.
While Mitt was off saving the Olympics, I’d bet little was happening at Bain that he didn’t approve of.
So in light of being called a socialist, unamerican and out to “destroy the country” by his detractors, all of which is utterly ridiculous, why wouldn’t Obama want to point out that Mitt Romney is a very wealthy out-of-touch venture capitalist that’s not a good choice for the American middle class. That doesn’t make him a bad guy, that just makes him .... you know, a Republican.
