Arrogance

Some thoughts on the Congress we have put in place.

I have written several letters to our congressmen, especially congressman Bayh. These elitists seem to have total disregard for the wishes of their constituents. Congressman Bayh was warned by his constituents not to vote for cloture on the health bill when it was being drafted in the congress. He was warned not to vote for the final draft of the congressional bill, but with total disregard for the wishes of the people he was put into office to represent, he voted yes in both voting sessions.

We install these people in Congress to represent the wishes of the people of Indiana, but for whatever self-serving reasons, or pressures of the Washington machine, Senator Bayh felt he should just vote along with the flock and vote along party lines, totally disregarding the wishes of his constituents .

Now after the amazing election in Massachusetts, Senator Bayh is trying to save face by making public comments about how the Democratic party is in trouble and needs to move back to representing the people. Now if congressman Bayh really believed this he wouldn't have been just voting along party lines when the people of Indiana were shouting "no".

Borrowing a phrase from the first lady, "I have never been so proud to be an American" as I was watching the electoral system and the people of Massachusetts using this system to get what "we the people" want.

I just want to say that during the next few months, there will be some good people with real values running for office to replace the plague of arrogant self-serving representatives we have there now. You the people should watch, listen and put in place the people who understand the words "public servant."

The government can work for you, just pay attention over the campaign season, choose the people that you feel will "honestly" represent you, and vote for real change in November.
